Hi everyone,
I know it's been a while since our last newsletter to you but we've been off the air for a while. Our web hosting company in England has changed and we now have a local company doing the job. They got us up and running again last night. So over the next few weeks we will make some changes to the way our web site looks and get a few more newsletters out to you.

Anyway, how good is the riding weather at the moment? This is the best time of the year to be out on a bike I reckon. Shouldn't be looking at the computer anyway. I've had a few good weekends riding. Managed to get away for a ride with the Ulysses Club Special Interest Group. They are a Sydney based group that are all dirt riders. Great bunch of people who generally ride the larger dirt tourer type bikes. Adventure riding is what they call it these days. You can have a look at their web site at
http://www.ulysses.org.au/branches/adventureriders/index.htm and read all about the ride.
Last weekend, my mate John rode up from Sydney and we decided to go for a quick ride. Anyway, 1600 klms later, we got back home after ending up in Queensland for a while. Unplanned rides like that can be just as much fun as fully planned ones sometimes. It was great. Riding all day, just stopping at a country pub, and sitting next to a log fire;drinking and talking with the locals. Then do it all again the next day. Great stuff.

I did both trips, the dirt ride and the road ride on the one bike, which I think is the most versatile all round motorcycle on the market today. The mighty Suzuki V-Strom DL650. This really has to be the best bike out there for Australian conditions. Road or dirt, this bike does it all. And I'm not the only one who thinks so either. We are selling quite a few of them lately. Now that they are available with ABS brakes, they certainly are stealing sales away from BMW, and at $9,990 brand new, they really are an affordable option too. If you would like to see one or even test ride one, call the shop and talk to Ian. He'll give you all the information you need. I'll probably be out riding mine.

Ride safe,
Shane
